would you like to save changes before closing it?

Does anyone know why I'm getting this now on everything I try to load or make changes to? Is it a setting that might have gotten change, or do I need to reload the program again?

It's not quite clear what you mean. Could you describe the problem more specifically?
Studio seems to be counting any change you make at all, including perspective view shifts, adjustments to the render time, etc and considering that enough of a change to trigger a save reminder. That may be what you're noticing
This is new? Studio always did that with me.
That's been happening a bit more often for me as well since the last update. Its very annoying. Try dragging your item into the scene instead of double clicking it. That seems to solve the problem most of the time. Because if you click yes or no, it will get rid of the scene I built and start from scratch, loading whatever I just double clicked.
Check your Daz Studio preferences. If you have preferences configured to load a default scene when you start Daz Studio or when you create a new scene, it will ask this question, because you have loaded but not saved that default scene. Of course there is no need to save that default scene again, so I always say NO, I don't want to save it first.
Probably that, I've never seen it and I've never set it to load a default scene.
This usually happens if the object in question is saved as a scene rather than a scene subset. Right click and select merge is another way to add it to the scene instead of replacing the existing one. And I will also note that if you're viewing through a camera and the focus shifts after a save, it may ask if you want to save when clearing the scene or exiting Studio, even though you already did save.
