    He is responsible for my decades long fascination and love of zombies, be they in the movies or in books (I have zero desire to meet one in real life lol) RIP

    The cinematography in Night of the Living Dead was so far ahead of its time. Even today, it still looks like no other movie ever made.

    In all fairness, looking at them today, the movies are kind of crap. And there's been a lot of even worse movies made. But it's a great genre with a life of its own now and I wouldn't want to be without it. I read a suggestion somewhere that Romero should have recived a percentage of the income from every zombie production ever made since his movies. I agree.
