Just saw Ron's new brushes. The package includes jpgs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but jpgs don't have transparencies. So what are they for?
I totally would understand png files. Actually I would need them, because I don't have a software which works with these newer generation of Photoshop brushes. But a jpg? What use could possibly be there for such a file?

Hi,
The jpg files are used for overlays. You would add one of these jpg images as a layer over your image then change the blend mode to create image effects.
This article doesn't give the greatest example but does well in explaining what is happening with each blend mode.

Some people without a traditional paint program can use them
This is really great! I've used Photoshop for years but have had a tough time articulating what each blending mode does. That link sums it up. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just glad he released a Cs and CC version.
But damn if these new, higher prices aint kickin my butt.
I'll second that post. I'm sticking with CS 5 so the CS6 and CC and up brush sets on my no purchase list. After last couple of sets Deviney released CS6 and CC and up, I had pretty much written off getting any newer sets from this vender...so happy to see the CS and up brushes included in the set. (I've tried and nothing I've had my hands on will open an ABR file from CS 6 and/or Photoshop CC. Every program or ABR file viewer I've found will only open an ABR file CS 5 and below.)
