DAZ Studio Suddenly Wants Registration

Today I opened up Studio 4.XX like always.  But it wanted me to register and enter a serial number for some reason.  That threw me quite off guard.  I've had it installed forever and I use it frequently.  Did anyone else have this happen?  I found the serial code just fine, but I just thought it was weird.

    back up everything...  possible mess up in your root folder etc.. 
    I don't think it even asks for a number with updates anymore...

    anything out of the usual is worth making sure your data is covered

    I have had it - I had it very frequently for a while, when my WIndows profile was becoming corrupt (I also had other, non-DS, issues such as accessing the Start menu). It's happened once or twice since then but not frequently. Entering your serial numbers should fix it, but it may be wise to open a support ticket so that Daz can track the issue.
