Can't load V8 Iray Materials

I loaded Victoria 8 and then tried to apply some of the iray makeup materials and not one of them will load, the mats to change the eye color worked as did the 3delight ones.  I also tried some from Rebekah character and they loaded onto V8 also. Anyone experienced this or can tell me what I am doing wrong that they don't load?

    Have you rendered the V8 or looked at it in Iray preview as that is the only way I can see the make up on her

    @Tottallou , you are correct once I render I can see the makeup.  Isn't that odd tho to have to render in order to see it?

    It is odd.  And very annoying as well, its hard enough when using the Iray skydomes to position things right but I frequently change make ups mid build in a render when I find it isn't maching what I ended up doing, which is rarely what I started with.  I hope this is not going to become a trend....

    They use the Diffuse Overlay on V8 & that only shows in render

    I prefer the traditional way of seeing changes in the viewport but I do not find it a problem this way as I always have Iray preview running  for altering colours, lights or makeups as its closer to the final render look.

    I can see that if you are running on CPU or make lots of large complex scenes it might be a pain to use though
