Olympia 8 Next?
The Ashley hair released today lists supported shapes for Victoria 8 and Olympia 8.
Is this an indication of the next Gen8 figure, presumably to be released soon?
(apologies if this was already discussed and I missed it)

I started a thread after Victoria 8 came out showing when all of the numbered characters came out for Generation 6 and 7.

Olympia 6 and 7 both came out in December (at the end of the release year for both V6 and V7), so we will see.
IIRC a few of the 7-series figures where we got these "advance warnings" didn't come out right away, they were delayed by a few weeks... or months...
I always had this mental image of the DAZ marketing team prognosticating by examining V4's entrails (she's the only DAZ figure that's got any) to decide on when something that's built, passed QA and is all ready to go, will actually be released.
I understand that this is a super secret ceremony with the entrails that PAs are not invited to. I've tried.
When you see unreleased characters in the FBM list of a product, it USUALLY means that. Though, seeing the actual character itself arrive in the store months later afterwards is not at all uncommon, either. Though, given the fact that, not only did we get Genesis/Victoria 8 a month earlier than traditionally, but that Genesis Females always get a good handful of characters out before the males show-up is most probably going to remain this time around as well, starting with Olympia. This is of course due to the simple fact that females have always sold in greater numbers than males, and the fact that we're seeing Olympia of all characters appear so early is really no surprise. At the beginning of Genesis 3's run, Daz shared that Olympia very quickly became a hit, signaling a significant appetite for curvier-shaped characters. That's why a character like Bethany came along very quickly after Victoria and Eva's launch.
Sighs...should we expect monthly figure releases again lol, or bi monthly, if I remember correct there were a few that were released like 2 weeks between eachother after Victoria 7 was released.
Actually, we didn't. Victoria 8 arrived maybe a week early, if we're being picky.
Victoria 8: 2017-06-15 release date
Victoria 7: 2015-06-23 release date, officially, according to the readme
Victoria 6: 2013-06-20
Victoria 5: 2011-10-25
Victoria 4: 2006-12-08
Up to the end of Genesis 3, they were releasing more or less twice a month. (Not quite bi-weekly, since dates got tweaked here and there for various reasons.) If they've got the new figures ready to go (or in line to go, or however this production is handled), I can't see why they wouldn't try to maintain the same release schedule.
That said, there was a full month between Victoria 7 and Eva 7. After that, things were oddly irregular; Bethany and Karen came out the same month, then one a month up to December, with Olympia 7 two weeks before Christmas, and Leo 7 three days before. (The next year, it was Darius and Monique for the holidays.) After December 2015, the two-a-month schedule was pretty consistent. More creatures alternating with humans from late 2016 through the end of Genesis 3 Females. (If Genesis 2 is anything to judge by -- and there's no reason it should be -- there may be one or more Genesis 3 Males left on the shelf to come out.)
I just remember I bought the Eva pro bundle and then went on vacation shortly after and like day 2 of the vacation I seen Bethany released and was shocked then annoyed then she was added to my cart and I bought her lol. Maybe they'll step back at releasing them so fast lol I don't recall Genesis 2 and prior to that having so many releases close together.
