Need help exporting Daz animations to Unity (G3 / G8)

I am wanting to use Daz to create animations for chracters (morphs and skeletal) and export them to Unity, and generally get things exporting fine as an FBX, but am having  issues with the character not playing the animation back correctly from Unity.  It looks like some of the bones are wrong, typically the legs, and I have no idea how to get things working properly.

I can map a Unity animation properly to the character, but the exported animation that comes with the very same character doesn't play right.

I'd definitely appreciate help getting this last part sorted.  Also if there is a good tutorial on how to handle morphed animations from Daz to Unity, I'd appreciate seeing that too.

    Go here & watch all the tutorials as he uses Genesis 3 too.

    But if you want to reimport back to DAZ don't. To simply further, make sure you are using V4/M4/Genesis/Genesis 2 until further notice from DAZ 3D because the hassle you would be messing with isn't a good use of your time.

    @nonesuch00  Thanks for the link however I've seen them, and he doesn't cover exporting animations and solving the core issue I'm having, unfortunately.

    I also am not trying to re-import animations into Daz.. I'm trying to play Daz created animations (correctly) in Unity on my Daz G3/8 character.  My OP gives details on this issue, for those skimming.  As I stated in my post they are not playing back properly.

    As for your last sentence, more explanation would be helpful given my context.  I have a bunch of G3 content and non Daz animations are playing fine on my G3 exports.  Thanks.

    Post a link to your video with error.

    Do they play properly in Blender?

    Do they play properly in Carrara?

    @nonesuch00  you're quick, sorry I updated my reply.  I don't use Blender or Carrara.  I have Animate2 and some other Daz animation tools I am hoping to use.  I will try to make a video, but it won't be tonight.  Edit:  I'm not even sure how to record a video from unity in VR.  I'll have to figure that out.

    You export as fbx without skinning and then retarget the fbx in Unity.

    As far as recording in Unity you'd use (or try to use as it's frustratingly buggy) a free product called EveryPlay.
