Wet and Tan Skins for Genesis 3

Yesterday, I purchasd the Wet and Tan Skin for G3 UV product from DAZ, but when I tried to use it nothing happend, except flattening of the Specular color (i.e., the figure stopped be shiny). I realize the ability of this product may be limited on non-IRAY UV's (I use alot of textures converted from products prior to G3), but when I tried ot apply the product to an IRAY UV on a Genesis 3 male character, I got the same result. When I tried to apply a "wet" UV, nothing happened.  Then, when I rendered the figure, thinking that UV skins only appear post render, the result was blank white ghost figure with hair.  I am doing something incorrectly in set up, or is this another UV product that won't work on my system? (My system is 64 bit Windows).  Any assistance will be appreciated - if this product does not work, I would like to return it.  Thanks, and have a great day.
