Am I the only one who can't download anything? Well I can, but it's at 20kb/s. It's been like that for 17 hours now.
And yes I've checked if it's on my end the problem is, but I can download just fine from everywhere else.
I'm using DIM and have tried restarting and even manually download, but it's all the same, 20kb/s when it's good most of the time it's 10kb/s.
I know there's probably a lot of people downloading this weekend, but this is insane. I'm 48, I'll be dead before I finish downloading all that stuff 
Oh well, it's just the free V6 Pro bundle I'm trying to download, so it's not that important. I just hope things get back to normal if something new an shiny begs me to buy it
Anyway, just wanted to hear if anyone else were having problems.

Well I just tested a manual download and I am getting 2.4Mb/s
If I ever get stupidly low download rates I always try rebooting my router. and that usually speeds things up again,.
I'm getting 2.2 Mb/s in DIM
I dont think it'll make a difference in this case. Everywhere else is running full speed.
I just downloaded the Krita paint program and tried youtube without any problems.
I have a render running, and will try restarting my Pc and my router when it's done.

I restarted my pc and my router, didn't change a thing.
DIM took 5 minutes to log in and download is still 20kb/s. Manual download is the same.
It's definitely not on my end, just downloaded from other places without problems.
Whatever I get connected to here is not working very well.

Server overload I'm guessing.
I didn't mean resart computer and router, I meant to actually reset your router. The ISP that I use reccomend resetting the router on the reset button if they have been working on anything overnight amd simply restarting the computer hasn't fixed it. Does your router have a reset button?

If it is the server then try downloading on an off hour Daz time like late at night or really early in the morning.
I am wasting my whole afternoon on terribly slow and failed downloads when I have 277mbps download speeds on my internet.
Probably, but it's not going to fix it as every other site I've tried downloading from works just fine, so I very much doubt it'll do anything.
It's ok though, I've already downloaded all the important stuff. I can wait until the worst goldrush is over.

I have 277mbps download on my internet. I am now on 50 minutes downloading V8 with 6 download failures. WTF?????
I doubt it's totally at the download server as if I use my smartphone via tethering I get much faster speeds, so I suspect some ISPs are starting to cap downloads from DAZ3D.com.
You would think that they would have the forsight to see this coming and circumvent the problem. Most of us don't have the free time to just sit in front of the computer all day and wait for the constant download failures to hit retry.
20k in DIM on my ISP (Windstream)(usually 150k-200k), 400k+ tethered to my smartphone on Verizon 4GLTE; what does that tell you?
Was like that for me yesterday. For the last two days the entire site has been agonizingly slow.

I posted about this same problem in the tech forum - I didn't see this thread earlier. Exact same issue for me all day today - getting 5-10kbps download speeds both through DIM or direct from the download link in my account. Like everyone else, my connection speeds and downloads from elsewhere are flying along, it's just trying to download from Daz that's giving problems.
As already stated several times it's probably a server overload. This happens every time there is a big character release. Try downloading it on an off time when so many people aren't on like early morning or late evening Daz time.
Just spoke with Daz and they said in fact their servers are slammed
DIM is under heavy load right now, it's getting as many bytes out as it can. We did double the bandwidth to it last year but with the customer base growth and the massive popularity of Victoria and Genesis 8 it is being fully utilized right now.
We did see that the DIM servers overloading would be an issue so over a year ago the Daz Studio team rolled out Daz Connect. Daz Connect uses a new server architecture so instead of being bottlenecked by the servers that we host it instead will download the files via a CDN with hundreds of servers spread across the world. Under heavy load like this the download performance is actually improved because the files are stored on many additional CDN servers than normal. Yesterday I was double checking the speeds and averaged 200Mbps when downloading through Daz Connect in the latest version of Daz Studio.
DIM could be redesigned to do the same thing. I'm not changing download systems just to get faster download speeds, and I'm probably not the only person that feels that way.
I just bought the pro bundles and morphs downloaded pretty quick!

Yeah same here cant download any of the new stuff and then downloads failed on studio 4.9.4.
Forget that I got it this morning.But now I have 2 versions of Daz 4.9.4.117 is that the new one or do I need the Beta version.Sorry for stupid questions.
