Hiding available products in Smart Content

I'm not sure if I have missed something, but I have so far not found what I'm looking for in the regards to hide some of the products in the smart content tab. As an example, when I used DIM I could choose to hide the install package if I didn't want to install it, that way I didn't have to see it every time I opened DIM for other products.

 

Since I have finally done a bit of spring cleaning in my content library I ended up uninstalling a fair few items that I simply don't use, but since they are items I have bought and such, they still show as available to install. I would like to hide those products, so I do not have to search through them all to find a new product I have bought. But I can't seem to find a way to hide them, and after having looked around and tried things in studio I decided to come here to see if I had missed something, somewhere :)

    I don't think you can do that directly in Smart Content.

    You could create a new grouping for them and assign them to that. Then set the Install tab (or the Available view of Smart Content) to use one of the "Sort by Group ID" settings. Not great, but it seems like a workaround.

    n.b.: I really wish we could manage available groupings right in Studio.

    Thanks Seth, though have to admit I have no idea how to do that *blushes* hopefully we will get the possibility to hide dirently in smart content soon :) until than I guess I just wade through the products I don't use,

    I just figured it out! I need to do this because I ordered a bunch of free products that I dont have the base figures for or it was a Poser-only product.

    This is for hiding products in the Smart Content/Available Tab:

    1. Right Click on the product in Smart Content. (if not installed it will be gray)
    2. Choose: Show product in Content library
    3. The product should now be highlighted/selected in the Content Library Tab
    4. Right Click, Delete, Yes.

    It might still show in the Smart Content tab...until you select another tab and go back, then it will be gone.

     

    Edit/Add: Nope, didn't work everything reappeared.
