DAZ 4.9.4 Not Installing
I have a problem!
I downloaded and installed 4.9.4.117 Pro (64 bit for Windows) so I could play with Vicki 8. It installed just fine. But when I closed it, Avast freaked out and said it was Malware. I ignored Avast. When I tried to reopen Studio, it wouldn't. In fact, the icon was dead. It no longer pointed toward an active executable.
So, I reinstalled it. Three times. Every time, I get this error message:

I've downloaded the Studio installer twice, thinking it may have botched on the download. I still get the same error. I tried clean installs, by uninstalling Studio first. Same thing.
There is no executable file to open Studio. Everything else is there in the folder, except that critical piece.
Avast hasn't shown any interest since that first time, but I suppose it could be fighting in the background. It never has before.
What should I do?

I now have a new screaming computer that now has some serious crunch power, but here is the trip. Trying to load DAZ down on to the new computer was a bit of a problem to my new machine with Windows 7. After playing around with window explorer and Google my tech who built the computer help me get the newest DAZ on to the machine. What I got was a message that said I am having an issues with down loading the people, clothing, etc. do to maybe an ad-blocker program. Has anyone had this sort of problem?
I'm currently trying to get Avast to allow all possible connotations of Studio, from its location on my computer to this site. It is possible that Avast damaged the installer during download yesterday. I'll let you know if this works.
We're back in action!
I had to turn Avast off. Reinstall worked like a charm.
These new antivirus programs are more virus than protection.
