Not at all impressed
I still use V4, M4, and Genesis as my main rendings bases. There is still a lot of amazing content for them and still get some pretty decent support from third party vendors.
The Genesis 2 Product line had almost 0 Third Party Support compared to previous generations, which is sad. The line also did not get a version of Hiro. So I ended up purchasing the animated male bundle, and still have yet to get around trying it out, Sorry SIx.
The Genesis 3 Product line to me is just kind of meh. I am not at all impressed with the technology, the fact that they split the bases and everything for the males is just ugly.
It looks like the Genesis 8 Product line is going to be the same. I see no improvements to the technology and really don't see the point.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you aren't the only one who feels this way.
See that is the thing about tastes. I loved genesis 1, but having been using genesis 3 for some time now I went back and revisited many of my old genesis 1 and V4 scenes and swapped them out for genesis 3 and they just didn't hold up to genesis 3 IMO.
I guess I'll start worrying about using Genesis 8 once the genesis 8 support starts drying up. I'm not that impressed with the way she looks now also, but then again, V7 is the only victoria I liked out of the box, the rest were butt ugly, LOL
Not sure where you were looking, as Renderosity alone has still over 1600 items supporting G2F in their store, roughly triple the support that Dawn has, and a number of the indies like Most Digital put out a lot of G2 product prior to the start of G3. Either way, I bought quite a bit of G2F and G2M product from other stores. Now, product support for the original Genesis was really hard to find outside of DAZ, but a huge part of the pitch on that product was that you could use most of V4's stuff and textures on G1f/V5 without having to buy any clones, so I think a lot of vendors just opted to keep making V4 items.
I don't think V8 is attractive at all. Her torso looks too compact and her head is too big. For the first time ever, I'll be skipping a Victoria. For now I will have fun with the basic G8 shape and her add-on morphs until a better character comes along.
It will be interesting to see how the market speaks since $$$ are the only voice that matters.
