She reminds me of those aliens in star trek with the antennas.  Maybe it is just me.   Hope when G8M comes out you can make a male version too.

Edit forgot they were blue and their antennas are a little different.   Still cool anyway.

She reminds me of the Andorans (the Star Trek aliens Miss bad Wolf mentioned) as well and also Mantis From Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.  She's really impressive.

And there's nothing wrong with taking inspiration from wherever you can find it.  Especially when you create something as interesting and beautiful as Honey.  smiley

How do the antennas work? How many bones do they contain?

If you select the antennas in the scene tab, then you have controls for movement and shaping in the parameters tab

    You, my good sir, rock.

Now to wait for either Mei Lin 8 or SickleYield's Faces of Earth: Asia to make her look a little more like Pom Klementieff, haha.

    Greetings,

Oh, thank goodness!  I thought she was very similar to the GotG2 character (and that's a very positive thing, as I liked her!), and I'm glad I wasn't reading too much into it.

She's lovely, and acquired.  One of my must-buy characters with Daz V8er. ;)

I asked a question on this thread   as the nail materials aren't working when I have Honey selected in Scene. They aren't shaders so they should change when the main figure is selected (as there's no nails in Scene anyway.)  I get an error message, it won't apply the nails at all. See the thread and see if perhaps you can explain what's happening, if I am supposed to do something differently. Otherwise, we need this fixed please? I always assume it's something I'm doing though- but again, it should work when the figure is selected?

I had to do the nails manually.

They are simple material files that change the base colour (diffuse) of each nail, so there really is nothing abnormal about them that should cause an error.

It all works here, so maybe this may be an issue to contact daz about, so they can try to replicate it on their machines.

Maybe it might be an installation issue....you can try to reinstall it and see if it clears up.....because that is a brain scratcher

I adore her, she went into the card before I'd settled for wich V8 bundle I wanted.

She reminds me of Van Vogt's SLAN characters, hefty and with antennas. (although they were called tendrils in the book)

So glad she inspires all these different characters.....I can't wait to see what you all do with her

@lyoness   Thanks. It's lit by one of KA's Ghost lights (on our left, slightly in the front but turned 3/4 so side lit too) and Pro-Studio HDR lights (I think number 14.)

  • Now that Starfinder's come out, I'll definately be using the antenna from Honey for the Lashunta race characters.

Lizardians work for the Vesk and I can go back to 4-arms genesis for the Kasath (though an update would be nice).  I still need something for the Shirren though.
