Uberenvironment 2 and the Heartbreak of Psorisasis (or so it seems in renders)

I know this has probably been answeerd a million times, but I can't see it for looking

Uisng UE2 in a HDRI set results in some strange skin artifacts with most figures (in the example, Stock  GF, G2F and G3F), in both DS 4.8 and 4.9.
First pic is with stock UE2. I remembered somethign about shading rate, so 2nd pic is UW2, with a shading rate of 0.1. Better, but still a tad wonky.

What I really want to know is what cuses this and how to correct it.. OR given that it seems to be a UE2/skin shader issue, is there a way to alter the skin setting to correct, or a better tool then UE2 for IBL/HDR work.. Given that the skin shaders and the UE2 light preset are both standard in DS, one would expect them to work together?

Thanks!

Have you tried applying the 'set quality' presets, there should 4 or 5, from low to extra high which shoudl help with that issue.
