Speedup Iray.. can't find specific post
I was reading in 1 of the posts (and I can't find it in my browser history)
about speeding up rendering in Iray.
There was something I wanted to try out, and someone mentioned to someone else that you had to change a setting, and then with 30-50 itterations it looks really good already
and I think it came from David. Or someone mentioned that it came from him,
Since i can't find that post.. does anyone else ring a bell?
Thanks

I wouldn't bother looking, frankly. There is no "secret sauce" to shortcutting Iray like this. My render at 30-50 iterations may be completely fine for a scene, but awful for yours. The number of iterations to get even a passable image is completely a matter of the specifics within the scene.
In many of the renders I do the image doesn't look recognizable until at least 50 iterations, and not usable for any notion of art until a minimum of 300 to 500.
