DS Products in Poser

So, my question is: Can I purchase Daz Studio models/characters (i.e.: Genesis 3 characters) and use them exclusively in Poser WITHOUT having to install Daz Studio. I have a limited amount of HD space, and see no use in having another program that essentially does what Poser does, just not as intuitively. Thanks for any feedback.

Genesis 3 figures do not work in Poser, as it doesn't support dual-quaternion rigging.

Genesis 1/2 items that come with PoserCF files can be used with the Poser plugin https://www.daz3d.com/dson-importer-for-poser without needing DS installed.

D3D has a script to load DSON-format items that don't have PoserCF's here:  http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=poserpython&product=dson_loader -- there is no guarantee that the items will work in Poser, however, unlike items with PoserCF's which have been tested in Poser.

Older figures use Poser parametric rigging.
