I have noticed unless I am missing something that there has never been any items of clothing for any generation of models on Daz that allows you to undo the buttons on it. Is there anything like this in the pipeline perhaps or maybe will come out at some point? thx.

There are a few shirts and so on with morphs for undoing one or more buttons - this is the first I found https://www.daz3d.com/men-s-shirt-for-genesis-3-female-s
Lots of OOT items have open morphs
I think it depnds on what you mean by "undo buttons." There are a number of artists who regularly produce items with buttons or other types of fasteners that have open and undressing moprhs.... some DAZ vendors who almost always include those, when the item of clothing calls for it, are Out of Touch, Ironman13, Hongyu and Sickleyield, while many others may include them on an item by item basis. Now, if you're talking about something more detailed, where you can actually show a button in the process of being pushed through the buttonhole, then no,and I'm not even sure whether that's within the capabilities of the the meshs DS and Poser nomally use. I should also point out that zippers that work are the same way. They can be posed to give the appearance of being in the porcoess of being opened or closed, but they're not really functioning fasteners.
Yeh I was hoping to get it so it could be really details seeing a button pushed through a hole but yeh that's probably not possible yet. I think what Richard suggested would be ok. Thanks guys :)
This could never be done with a single standard morph, since a morph is just an alternate shape, and as you dial it moves progressively in a linear way towards that shape, i.e. Every vertex moves in a straight line from its original position towards its new location. As such a single morph can never achieve this, although in theory a series of morphs could do it.
@Havos, most of the "unbuttoning" morphs use a series of morphs already, with titles like "Open 1", "Open 2", "Open 3", "Open 4" and if you want to animate them you have to do something like dialing in 1, then dialing out 1 as you dial in 2, dialing out 2 as you dial in 3...
No nonlinear transformation is a single morph target but that doesn't mean dials are limited to linear transformations.
