Measure Metrics Missing Files
in The Commons
So I purchased Measure Metrics over the weekend and attempted to use it this morning. The lack of documentation is quite frustrating and the videos are of such low quality I can't read the screen.
I have the serial number installed and the pane is open. When I go to Smart Content / Utilities / Measure Metrics and click "Measure Genesis 2 Female" I get an error message "Could not open file: File does not exist." Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have already reinstalled a couple of times, before I found the correct sequence of steps to get the plugin registred and operational.

How did you install? From which area are you double-clicking the measure Genesis 2 Female preset?
Have youi seen the extensive pages in the Daz wiki http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/plugins/measure_metrics/start ?
I used the DAZ Install Manager to install the plugin each time.
I'm using the preset in Smart Content / Utilities / Measurement Metrics to try and merge into the current scene.
My next step will be to see if I can manually extract the files and then move then to the correct folders.
Thing is going to be the death of me yet. I did get it to work. I had scripts showing up and actually used the product for a couple of weeks.
But now, the scripts are not showing in Daz Studio, but they are in the folder (verified with windows explorer in subfolders of People and Scripts/Utilities). I can open the Measurement Metrics pane. I can even create measurement elements. In the About Plugins dialog there is NO serial number listed and I cannot enter one, but it shows as loaded (obviously as I can create measurement elements). I have uninstalled and re-installed the plugin twice already since this has happened.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Daz Studio?
So can you see the folder but not the files for the scripts? Please post a screenshot.
You can see in the attched screenshot that the Measure Metrics folder isn't showing up, but the folder does exist on the hard drive. The folder contains 3 DUF files and 6 PNGs.
Where is that folder? it looks as if it may be in Program Files, which would be wrong.
E:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 3 Female
As a test I installed DAZ Studio on another computer. I was able to register the plugin and it worked on that computer.
Having DS installed in Program Files is fine, but that shioldn't be used as the content location (and isn't, by default).
Ok, I found the problem. The "DAZ 3D Library" was NOT listed in the Content Directory Manager. Not quite sure how that happened as my content folders have not changed since I loaded Daz Studio and the scripts were available at one time. Any way, thanks for the help that led me to the solution.
