Ever want to have two PC's but either don't have the room or find it too fiddly with all the wiring and what not to keep 2 PC's running.. Well look no further than Corsairs Concept Slate the what I would say is the ultimate in PC cases.. This case can house two motherboards and all the fixtures necessary in one case has room for liquid cooling and other fab things.. To get an idea here is a vid of the case in action and well all I can say is just wow the case is huge.. :)

Having a case like this would / could make having the ultimate rendering PC a reality.. :)

..still has that ridiculous glass side panel and all those "disco" lights. . If instead it had a big fan on both side panels and a more professional look it would make a killer server case.

When I built mine I removed the glass (plastic) panel and replaced it with a shallow box that has 4 120mm case fans sucking through a HEPA air filter. The case is so pressurized I'm suprised it isn't bulging.

But it's been a year now and the insides still look like they did when I bought them. The chiller cooling my CPU, memory and video cards doesn't hurt, either.

...though....two dual socket LGA 2011 V3 MBs each with two 8 core 2.9 GHz (Turbo 3.5) Sandy Bridge Xeons, 128 GB of memory and dual 1080 Ti's, networked together through the case and then to the production workstation.

Would make one heck of a nice little render farm.all in one handy package.

    Daz needs networked rendering.

Just been reading up on the case and well by the sounds of it you could buy a very tricked out computer with all the bells and whistles for what thiis case is likely to cost.. The other case they had there the Concept Curve was tricked out in $10000 worth of carbon fiber.. So going by that if one wants the Concept Slate which is due out in the 4th quater this year then expect to pay an arm and a leg for it.. :)

Iray alredy supports it, but not for free like LuxRender and Cycles and others.

What I find interesting is that Daz Studio has yet to put in networking capabilities not sure why it does not have that ability..

...Lux is just too buggy and is OpenCL rather than CUDA based. Cycles node based materials setup looks like an overturned bowl of Udon noodles (similar to Poser's Materials Room and Daz's Shader Mixer). Channel based materials setup (Daz/Carrara) is more intuitive to a dyslexic like myself.
