Lighting Irays HDRI sets

are they worth investing in? I know the program comes with some, but I had trouble moving them around the environment, am I missing an easier way to move them?

I saw the newest outdoor pack comes with little balls, what are the point of them?

The little balls are supposed to show you the entire scene in one little sphere although to me they always looks distorted and in some cases, undecipherable.

If you look at this page of freebies and follow the like for each of the circles it shows a square tat you can use your mouse or keyboard to 360 view. Also you download from the page for the HRDi with the 360 view for their freebies.
