Wooden floors - curved boards

I was looking at the promo for the London Apartment and I'm sorry to say that I'm put off by something I notice with a lot of floors and panels: the texture makes the boards look curved. I think it is because of some sort of gradient used to texture the wood (or other materials) but each board looks curved to the extent that I wouldn't like to imagine walking on such a floor.
Is this something that is unavoidable? I guess I'll need to go through my content to see if it happens with all floors but, once it had been noticed it is difficult to avoid being irritated by it.
Edit: It is definitely the texture because, if you look at the untexture model in the last promo picture, the floor boards look perfect - flat with a wood grain and joint lines.

It#s because the texture has some shading, which in turn makes it look curved, I think. The texture would need to be very flat, without light or shadow effects, to look right.
As a hardwood floor guy, I am dissappoint.
All you need to do to adjust that to taste is select the Surface and adjust the Smooth - Angle to a number lower than the default 89.9
An angle number around 30-35 should give you what you're looking for. a straight board like level surface.
I see what you mean. Here are a couple of renders. The first is with the default materials, the second is with a seamless hardwood texture from a google image serach.
(don't mind the character in the render, I just threw the set around sometihng I was already working on)
The issue is not in the geometry, There is shading on the texture map that is causing the floorboards to look warped.
I don't have that product, but from the promo, I'd say it is the texture having some sort of gradient.
One of the Fliter Forge filters has a texture that appears similar... One of the nodes uses a repeating gradient as part of the texture.

My guess is its probably not that particular texture, but was either procedurally generated or was a similar filter by FF or Genetica.
I would have generated a large "sheet" of fine wood texture and cut it up into individual randomized boards in Photoshop. The way most of the filters generate bricks and boards is too perfect and not random enough.
I looked at the texture file itself and there is a very distinct gradient on all the boards.
It looks like there was some kind of randomizer used for generating the wood tile placement.
