Surprised by updates.

Have you ever been surprised when a product gets an update?

I popped open DIM and there was an update for a product, The Meditation Chamber...this surprised me because it's MY product! Then I remembered "Oh yeah, I added a brand new feature to it!"

Just wanted to share a surpsiing expeierience.

    I often get surprised when I click on free ebooks at Amazon and it tells me I purchased them like 3 years ago. DOH!

    I'm always surprised because it doesn't happen that often. their was Vintage Boy updated today and I didn't even know I had that product, along with a few other updates today.

    The Daz Deals add on has a "show items I own" option..and Iw as surprised but things I have gotten over the years.

    They somtimes update the metadata too, so if you get an update for your product and you didn't do anything to it, a metadata update is the likely culprit.

    Twice since the beginning of this year I've gone searching the store for a product I needed and on another occasion I decided to give in and buy a particular product because I'd often thought it would have come in useful if I'd bought it when it was first released. Each time, I pitched up in the store only to find I already owned the item in question.

    Daz Studio can slowly turn the human brain to mush :)

    I am a bit surprised that older stufff is getting updated prior to fixing new releases which are still within th return window.

    as an old school right-click save-as person, i never get updates , unless alerted to it by forum messages.

    in the other store itemlist, i sort by update date to see if there is an update available.

    Perhaps this is the reason, the DAZ shop displays products, I already purchased, although having the "Hide Items I own" checked. wink
