Magic spell?

edited May 2017 in The Commons

Hey all. There's what looks like some magic spell being used in the second promo image of this product https://www.daz3d.com/enchantress-poses-and-expressions-for-genesis-3-female-s  Any idea if it's available to purchase and where I can find it?

Thanks :)

    I am pretty sure thats a photoshop brush from Obsidian Dawn's Arcane Circles brush. Which you can find on her website at http://www.obsidiandawn.com/ ;

    I concur. I found the exact brush in "Arcane Circles 1" there. Thanks for the link. I didn't know about this site. There is some great Photoshop stuff on there.

    Thanks very much. Think I found the exact one. Just got to figure out how to actually use it it now. I'm completely new to using brushes to enhance DAZ content. I'm using GIMP as well :)

    Most simple photoshop brushes can be used with gimp as well. For the use with daz you can either postwork your render in Gimp/ photoshop or others of that sort, or you load an image of that brush as a map for a primitive plane ( note you need an opacity map then as well to make the rest of it invisible)

    I am pretty sure Obsidian Dawn's brushes or at least most of them are compatible with a version of Gimp. I use Paint Shop Pro & import my photoshop brushes so beyond the first part of this comment...I'm a bit useless in telling you how to work them in gimp.

    If you have FilterForge, you can also create all sorts of interesting designs.

    Nice, I might give that a go :) How would I go about getting an opacity map for that kind of thing?

    for an opacity map you need everything black exept what you want to be seen in your render, the things that should be seen need white (or another colour but white works best)

  • Thanks everyone for all the help :)
