Create a Room is back, with the biggest and most versatile expansion yet! Create a Room XPack 3 includes enough walls, doors, windows, and arches to build a full interior floor plan. 103 total items is more than all three previous Create a Room set combined!

The goal with Create a Room XPack 3 is versatility. Walls come in lengths of 2.5, 5, 10, and 15 feet, with ends that are squared rather than angled, and includes a 2.5 x 2.5 foot corner section, enabling you to build rooms of virtually any shape and size. 10 different styles of double hung windows are included, with animated sashes, in arrangements of 1, 2, and 3 windows per section. 10 different bay windows and 3 different fixed windows are also included!

Wall and trim are textured in plain white with a detailed stucco bump map and glossiness settings and a baked ambient occlusion map. Changing paint color is as easy as selecting the surface and picking a new color in the diffuse channel! Each wall has two material zones, upper and lower, for even more variety!

Create a Room XPack 3 comes with six different styles of interior passage doors, and 5 different styles of exterior entry doors. Each of the single doors comes in left-hand and right-hand swing, and the passage doors come in doubles, both hinged and sliding.

Window treatments are a commonly requested feature, and Create a Room XPack 3 delivers with two different sizes of morphing vinyl window blinds! The translucent material passes light through the vinyl, and each can be opened or raised.

Floors and ceilings receive some attention, with all-new 2.5 x 2.5 foot floor sections, and 5 new floor textures in tile, wood, and carpet. Tray ceilings and vaulted ceilings come in varying sizes to fit whatever room you're creating!

Finally, Create a Room XPack 3 comes with two all-new bonus preset files, including one that re-creates the entire downstairs floor plan of the NFXstudios Farmhouse, complete with sliding French doors!

Create a Room XPack 3 stands alone, however, the preset files require the previous Create a Room XPacks and Base Set to load all features (heat registers, paintings, electrical outlets, furniture).

I try not to post more than one new message a day to keep from flooding people's newsfeeds, but, yes, I like to post lots of updates for those who are interested in seeing the process of putting a set together.  That is, assuming the progress is something that can be adequately represented with pictures.  Sometimes the changes are mesh refinements or nudging parts over a couple inches, and the impact isn't really that dramatic.

I think DSDT is refering to your "Long Island Mansion" looking a lot like the house in "The Amityville Horror".

I think it looks great and can't wait to get it, especially since it evidently has interiors as well

'Crime scene photos' are mentioned in the facebook progress reports so probably not a coincidence....

I am purposely avoiding advertising the set as being related to the Amityville Horror.  Not for copyright or trademark reasons, and not because the Lutz family doesn't kind of deserve someone making a buck off their preposterous "demonic possession" story.  The book and the movie are good fun, anyway, and there's nothing wrong with that.  But let's not forget that six innocent people were shot to death in that house as they slept in their beds, including, I believe, three children under the age of ten.  The guy who did it is still alive, and still in prison.  That's not the kind of story or tragedy I want to trade on.

But it is a very cool house, and a very old house, and if folks want to associate it with the Lutz story, that's fine by me.  But I'd rather not have people getting excited about buying the house where the DeFeo family was murdered by their psychopath son/brother.  So I'm not putting "Amityville" anywhere in the title or description.  It's a real house, and it's on Long Island, and that's good enough for me :)
