Any hints for using UV View?

I'm trying out using UV view to get, well, UV maps for models I'm working on.
I'm getting screen shots, then cleaning them up in photoshop to use, but I'm finding things tend to get just a little bit off. Anyone have any tips for this process?
(this is simple primative based objects so going to a fancy unwrapper program isn't really needed...and not had, and don't know how to use, so for now, this is the process I'll use for it).

You can use UV Mapper Classic or the like, or Blender, to export templates from an exported OBJ. You cld also use the UV Tailior https://www.daz3d.com/uv-tailor to create templates from within DS. The viewport mode is just an on-screen preview for information, it isn't suitable in most cases for generating a template.
Thank you, but that wasn't my question.
I do appreciate the imput, but 2 programs/plugins that are not available for the Mac, and a program I don't know how to use are not tips for using a feature of the program.
The UV view is not intended for generating templates. Using Blender should be fairly simple - export as OBJ from DS, import into Blender, export UV template - you don't need to learn any in-depth features of the application. There may be other tools for the mac, but I don't know what.
