Stuck Hotkey

Hi all, ive been having this problem where my deafult tool is Move(T) which is what i want but every time i use another hotkey it stays on that hot key till i tap that key again to turn it back off.  This wouldnt be a problems except after time of doing it over and over again it takes away from the quickness.  Is there a way to change it to where by default the minute i let go of that hotkey it goes back to my original Tool of Move?
