I am running and AMD 8350 with 32 Gigs of Ram and a 500GB Solid State Drive. Pushing out my Graphics I have a single GTX 780.

I have the option of Upgrading Either My Board, CPU and RAM To and AMD RYZEN Build

The other option is buying somerthing like a GTX 1070

If you want to use Iray, the 1070 will give you the most. However, if your scenes tend to need less than 3GB, the 1070 may not give much performance boost.

If you are going to use a different render engine, then the RYZEN is the probably the better of the choices.

I had a GTX 780., It's a great card by itself. The 3GB of the 780 may the biggest limitation depending on the scenes you create.

If the 780 has only 3 GB VRAM, upgrade to the 1070. No question. Folks have posted seeing great results putting new cards on old motherboards.

My current issus is not really rending, its getting around my renders in the preview. I don't know if that is more CPU intesive or GPU Intensive.

    That's solved by GPU.

Just go to Prefs and tell Daz to use your GPU for openGL by selecting 'Best' (see attached).

If you're talking Iray preview, that's also solved by GPU. Better GPU = faster iray interactive viewport preview.

So the 1070 is the best bet to improve my overall performance.

I am thinking of getting the MSI GTX 1070 Armor with 8GB of Ram which is currently 394.89.

If you've got amazon prime, save $60 by picking it up for $334.

    https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GDDR5-Windforce-GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD/dp/B01HHCA1IO

If you don't have amazon prime, now might be the time to consider purchasing it since the amount you'd save on the card would make it worthwhile.

Or just google a bit more...I'm sure you can find a better price than $394.
