[which file should I keep ... .ds or .dsa?] working in 4.7 and want the best file rather than have duplicate files and forget which one to pick

    I would say neither, if you can save it back as a duf. Those files are depreciated so I would convert them to a supported file.

    Please remember to put the whole question into the body of your post, as well as having a helpful title.

    Bothe are scrpt files - .dsa from DS3+, .ds from DS2-. So, other things being equal the .dsa files. However that is making a lot of assumptions.
