Dress products that work like bodysuit products

Hey guys!
I'm weighing my options r.e. designing a dress-based texture product that is based an existing product. I like how the 'generic' bodysuit concept works, and I do have a morphing fantasy dress or two in my collection now but am not sure those are the best options as of yet.
I'm designing a couple of knee length dresses currently, but may 'design' a full length dress as well.
The dress I've been working with up to this point is the V4 Cheyenne dress ('cuz it's very inexpensive to attain via the Cheyenne bundle), but it's a bit 'off'' alignment wise in the shoulder shoulder area for what I"m looking for, plus it's for V4, not so much for G3F (autofit aside). I'm trying to stay away from morphs if I can (i.e. let the existing dress morphs do the work).
I did see the G2F Starter Suits Merchant Resource, but that's for G2F, not G3F and there are a number of other, less expensive dress options out there. I'm not really looking to design a standalone product if I don't have to, at least at this point (I want to get my feet wet with texturing first).
Does anyone have a favorite go-to r.e. basic dresses along the lines of a generic bodysuit with lots of styling options/individual zones? I'm looking at G3F, but may also design a similar adddon for G2F if I can find two similar products (from the same content provider would be awesome). Preferably a dress product that is fairly popular/that most people may have or can attain inexpensively, although that can be hard to judge.

I haven't purchased it yet, but Aave Nainen's Merimay dress seems to have a lot of zones and morphs. And he has one for both G2 and G3
The problem is that they're not MFD PC+ cheap. And the MFD will probably continue to be a (or the) Go To dress for most people for quite some time.
Thanks. I don't have anything against the MFD, just wondering what people's faves are as far as dresses with lots of 'zone' options..
The MeriMay dress does look like it's along the lines of what I'm looking for, and the price does drop below $12 for the G3F version every so often according to the Sales Tracker thingie for the Daz Deals plugin (probably more with discount stacking). It looks a little more wavey than I'd like in the lower skirt area, but for a shorter dress that may not be a big issue.
Looking for multiple options. Keep the suggestions coming!
I have to +1 vote for Aave's Merimay. She puts a TON of posing morphs in all her stuff to go along with sets out there so you can get a semblance of dynamics without having to try and mess with them.
