I'm wondering...for PAs....how long do you find the submit->testing->approaval->In Store process usually take?
A week? two? 5?
(Just curious, I'm sure this question has no point, just like my other recent questions that have vanished into the mists)

Thanks.. some good info there, but I'm look for experience in the time department...to get some ballpark ideas.
My record is one week. Two weeks happens more often if QA isn't busy with stuff. My longest wait was 8 months because the item was held for a launch. On average, typically, 4-6 weeks.
The first response might prove dauntingly slow, though.
Barring the need for corrections, 2 weeks.
I'm thinking of taking another stab at the PA route, myself. Try it one more time. :/
4-6 weeks on average.
Never more than a week, but it depends I do more clothing, but buildings and set would take more testing but only a day or 2. Plus most of my stuff goes through without a hitch because of lots of testing before it's submitted.
The short answer is... a long time LOL
I take it 5 months is not the norm then?
I always plan for a solid month from the time I finish a set until it gets into the store. It's usually less than that.
Five months could be normal if they may want to wait for a specific holiday (Xmas, Halloween, etc) or to coincide with other thematically similar sets to be finished, etc. It's not typical though.
If a product is free from error, then it will take far less time then if it needs corrections.
Poses take the least amount of time. Other content can take more depending on complexity and what it all includes.
I'd also be curious how long it took PAs to get their first response?
I've attempted 2 submissions. The first, never got a response. The second, got a response ~7 months later, after commenting on how I didn't get a response on forum. (But I had released it for free by that point, so oh well)
The VERY FIRST SUBMISSION can take quite a while - existing PA's get looked at first on any given Review Meeting. Once it has been accepted and passed on to QA, continue below.
After that, it can take a few days depending on the number of products in the queue and whether you submitted before a weekend or holiday. Depending on the time of yer, the testing can take up to 2-3 weeks (faster if you have no fixes to make). Beyond that, it could be 4-5 days, or 2-3 weeks, for Marketing to assign an accepted, passed QA product a release date.
IF you are waiting for a response, feel free to email again and ask about it. Just remeber to be professional in your conduct when you do
Yeah, the complication is:
According to the submission guidelines, you shouldn't email them about it ever.
There is no response, automated or otherwise, to indicate whether the submission was even received.
There is no timetable of response.
There is no guarantee of response.
So, in short, if you are following their outlined procedure, you basically have to... wait and hope. Until they respond or you give up and do something else.
At one point a PA indicated that Daz didn't like to send out refusals, so would tend to just not respond if they didn't want to pick someone up.
I think it took two submissions before I got accepted. But I did start at other stores previously and took what I learned to keep improving until I had something they wanted in the store. You can always start at another store to get your feet wet and get experience.
My appologies. Its been a long time since I joined and I have not read the excisting guidlines since I am already in.
At that point it may not be a bad idea to follow Male-M3dia's recommendation and try another store if you get turned down from Daz again.
Yeah, I figure I'll give them one more chance, and then... I dunno, DA or something.
Bad policy - I think most people would prefer to know where they stand as soon as poosible rather than be waiting maybe for months in uncertainty.
About a month average for us.. as for first product, I don't know.. my first here was partnered with an existing Daz PA, and of course Darc with me.
I appreciate the info...not that it was for any particular purpose or have anything to do with a Commerical thread I may or may not have started or nothing.........
On my first product The Old Waterhole, I submitted five images cold, and got a response in 2 days. that was back in 2010.
On average it takes 4-6 weeks for a product to go from product submission through to being in released in the store. The QA testing doesn't usually take all that long, it's the scheduling for release that we have to wait for.
