2D games

I have a question about making games and licensing. I have lots of ideas for "choose your own adventure" story games that would use 2d art. I was going to use daz and do a series of flat images and incorperate them into the game. Would I still need a gamer license? None of the morphes or character rigging would be included in the game.

2D renders don't need a license.
If you're going to sell the games, make sure that each item you use in the renders allows commercial usage. Everything purchased here allows that. If you download from other sites, make sure each one explicitly says something like commercial usage / commercial renders are allowed. Most stores automatically include that right with purchases though I've found a few where there are restrictions on a per model basis.
There is a thread in the Art Forum about stories like these and how to do them too.
