1) Import into Daz Studio using default settings.

2) Model will come in small, so you can resize to fit your need.

800%- 1000% works nicely.

3) All textures are located in the same folder as the .fbx files.

4) If rocks are shown, they can be hidden in Surfaces.

Enjoy... more to come soon.

Oh, thank you, these look nice.  :D

(Grabs them, unpacks them, places them into the folder he puts manual-install stuff into)  Uhmm..... okay, how do I install these?  Firing up DS and then invoking Scan Known Directories For Files... shows me the folders, but DS "sees" nothing in them.

    Yeah, I'm new at ths.

  • I'm new to this too (been using DAZ for about a month) so this may not be the best way but I managed to open them by going to file/import.

I ended up importing each set of five trees (as far as I could work out you have to import one at a time into the scene) into an empty scene.

Then for convenience I saved each as a scene subset into the corresponding tree folder. This now creates an icon in the content library under that folder name so I can just open them from within the content library.

I also categorised each one so they show up in the smart content library... Because it's waaayyyy too easy to lose track of stuff!

Hope that helps and if anyone knows a better practise (I'm sure there is) then please post it here :)

thank you! these are great. to install, after you dump the contents into a folder, you just have to import them as an FBX file. And like LeapinLeroy mentions, for easier access, select "Save As Scene Subset" under File so you can access them quicker for future use while in Daz Studio

  • Thanks JeremyD for confirming that I am actually doing something right in Daz... For once. It's a steep learning curve for a noob like myself who has never worked within a 3d environment before!
