Render in UV View?

I know I should know the answer for this but I don't. Is there a way to render in UV view? I need these templates so that I can add an image to the laptop. As you can see, the Screen UV is sideway, upside down, and off to the left. It would be very usful to be able to render this as UV out for a template.

I am pretty certain that you cannot render the UV View but there is a product in the store that appears to do what you want

Export the geometry as OBJ, open in a tool like Blender or UV Mapper Classic, and export your UV template.

Mcasual did a free simple script for saving UV tamplates right inside DS - no subdiv view - but the changelog says it now can handle the genesis 3 UV map.

    mcjTemplate for DS

BTW you dont realy need any highres templates - even a screeshot [Print] - key on the keyboard will do.

Then in an imageeditor of your choice paste the screenshot - cut out the square UV bouding box and resize it to your desiered resolution. The templates are only needed for to know the placement of the textures.

thats what i been doing. i was just hoping for a smarter way. why you cant render the UV view is beyond me. seems illogical.

Probably because DS isn't a modeling app like Max or Maya
