Content Library: Big hover over icons & URLs

ScavengerScavenger Posts: 2,674

Ok, normaly, the icons in the content libary are about 90x90px in size.

I've seen, however, some get big when you hover over them.

I can't, however, recall where I've seen them...so does anyoneknow how to do them? (or a product with them)?

ALSO, I've seen some products with URL links in the  content libary...like to vendor store or instructions...anyone know how to this, as well?

    I'm sorry...what is? I asked several things.

To create it is easy. Say you have a product named Dog. You create a square .png named Dog.tip and put it where the dog file is(works to make icons for folders as well. Most vendors seem to make it 256 by 256, but you can make them even larger. I make mine 512 by 512.

Setting the Authorship information gives you the author and other information in the file. The big hover-thumbs are PNG files with .tip added to the name - filename.duf, filename.png (or filename.duf.png), and filename.tip.png for the content, the thumbnail, and the tip respectively; tip images are by default 256 pixels square.

Yeap..learned the .tip.png earlier. Had to make a few apple scripts to get things working right :D

You say by default 256...if the tip png is bigger, will it still just display as 256? (I'm in the iddle of an all night render so I can't test it myself).

on the URL, I wasn't talking of the authorship info inside a duf file, but rather a duf file that when you click it launches a url. I've seen them a few times.

Someone did some testing and there is a maximum size for the tip image (I'm not sure, however, wether that was absolute or dependent on screen resolution), but bigger will work up to a point.

I don't have the link to hand, but there was some discussion of this in the Scripting forum - as I recall, you need only http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/object_index/app_dz#a_1aaacc5086bff479d0c1a842bad554bdce

On my screen 512 .tip pops up at 512, and 1024 pops up only slightly larger than 512. I only have a 1440x900 screen though, not very large these days.

The thumbnail must be 91x91 and the .tip file must be 256x256 for anything submitted to Daz. If they are different sizes, Q/A will resize them for you, send you a report saying they did that, and a reminder of the required sizes, or request that you resize them and send in the corrections.

The other item is a preset that launches a script. I know they are not very difficult to set up, but I don't know how to do it.
