Hi all, very frustrated - I reinstalled DS and left the CMS install running, and instead of picking up where to put it all from the default DS directory, it has totally jammed up my C: drive!!! Anyone - can you please remind me how to tell the CMS where to put everything? I WISH the DAZ software engineers would STOP putting in default directories, get with this modern age and realise that many people have smallk SSD drives as their C: drive - rather force us to make a choice, than default to a directory you have no idea has enough space - PRIDDY PLEEZ?? :) Thank you. Now, about where I find to tell the CMS to put it all please? TIA!

I'm not at a computer with Daz installed at the moment so I can't double check, but I'm pretty sure it's in Preferences > Library settings
If you are using Connect to install, go to Edit>Preferences and that will open a dialog box. Select the Content tab in the dialog box and down near the bottom click on the button that says Content Directory Manager. Just tell DS where you want your content saved.
If you are using DIM to install, you still need to go here to tell DS where your folders are, but you set DIM's preferences by clicking on the gear in the top right corner of DIM to open the dialog box. Select Installation in the tab and tell DIM where to install stuff. After that you can, follow the same procedure and go to Edit>Preferences inside DS and select the Content tab to tell DS where DIM put your stuff.
Thank you, both! Yes, it's the CMS one that was out of control, I have the DIM tamed. lol! Much appreciate your help! :)
If you had set your documents folder to use the HD rather than the SSD before isntalling DS/DIM they would have followed suit. It's too late for DS, but for future applications you can move your Docuemnts (and other) folders by finding them in the profile (C:\Users\YOU), right-clicking, seelcting Proerpties, going to the Location tab, and using the Move button.
Thanks Richard, I had actually set the install directories to the HD when installing but the first installation, I didn't - I then uninstalled from the SSD when I realised it, reinstalled to HD ensuring both installation directory and content directory pointed to the HD, and everything when topside down. Don't know why, but after realising the CMS was jamming the SSD, the others above told me where to find the CMS directory and I changed that (don't know why that was still pointed to C drive default!) - and so far it's all working. I do admit to having a LOT of content. lol! Thanks for the tip on moving the Users - I shall remember that for future! :)
