Another work of art from Stefan. My budget is spoken for already, alas, so this will be wish-listed for the time being.
Cheers,
Alex.
Greetings,
Yeah, it's funny... I was buying the Medieval Interior Construction Kit bundle yesterday with the last of my MM gift cert, and I jokingly said to my partner, 'Just watch, I'm spending the last of this today, and there'll be a Stonemason item tomorrow...'
...
Yeah.
So, I bought it, because 'ruin porn' is kinda my thing. I used to explore half-burned-out buildings in my home town, when I was young and dumber so this is right up my alley. Besides, with the discounts it sneaks under $20 (for it's price) in the cart with esha's pretty outfit, and FW's pretty boy. ;)

I'm just pleased that Stonemason has finally addressed the elephant in the room.
I wondered if everyone was going to ignore that.
Hahhahah. I wanted to comment on that first.
And yeah, I did check to see if the elephant was listed under props.
Overall, it's another halloween theme. Darkness reigns supreme.
I mostly just want his winter terrain and the zombie poses are multi-use..
All that free horror stuff looks cool, but I don't know exactly WHEN I would use it. The coffin, yeah....
And one of the coolest pieces (the little girl) requires a FULL-PRICED Cookie to use. Not feeling that.
You get a good discount with the three-piece bundle- but I ahve so much from MM already...
My cart is frozen at $50 and I'm not sure if it's best to go in or let the clock run out and buy nothing today.
On the fence...
LMAO, too funny! Guess that is what happens when you build your house in the middle of a game park, LOL.
to be honest, most SM sets are not instant buys for me. Nothing against his work, just usability in my workflow and lately how hard it will be on resources once I add the other parts, the figures, clothing, hair, props, etc to the scene and try to render it in IRAY. This one looks very well done as usual, but I can't really come up with too many uses for an abandoned country 2 story house with a wall demolished. Now if this was a middle eastern themed house with a wall demolished, I can find a use since I do lots of military themed renders
Ah, But is the elephant included in the room?
I have a lot of Stonemason's stuff, and the craftsmanship here is beautiful; but somehow it doesn't 'tell me a story' and inspire a render. My wallet is grateful, for once. Loved the elephant-in-the-room promo pictures, I must say.

Yeah, I thought it was funny-style that Daz releases the middle eastern town generator- all the bazaar shops and props and also put ...(wait for it)
US MILITARY SOLDIERS AND VEHICLES on sale at the same time. lol
the set's beautiful...no surprise there, it's a stonemason piece.
but i wish that one of those aerial full-layout shots had been included in the promos. the outside-looking-in shots tell us that a little bit of the house's exterior is included and renderable...but how much?

Abandoned reminds me of a certian Dulvey Manion...
ISWYDT.
Quick question. Does anyone else find that the aspect ratio of the cameras included in the preset cannot be changed?
Does this come with a non-abandoned maintain look too? The house is gorgeous.
I really really want this house, its perfect for a multitude of post apocolyptic or zombie themed renders. I just can't right now. Too much MM. Definitely in one of the top spots on the wishlist (wish there was a way to organize the wishlist like that!)
yeah, the new couple moves in, cleans up all the debri, leaves and glass off the floor and then cleans and repaints the wood. "um, honey, what do we do about the hole in the wall??!!"
Elephant door?
the hole in the wall is just a way of letting light in,means you don't need to use emissive surfaces to render the interior.
Greybro,The cameras aspect ratio and dimensions can be unlocked, select your camera and change that in parameters
I've only done that with drywall or sheetrock so I can't help you there.
OK, good. I will buy. That house is in better shape than the one I live in.
Makes me wanna see more of this house ;-) <wink, wink> ;-)
Thanks Stonemason!
