I, um, had no...idea....

So I'm setting up a  shot using a facegen created character.

I plan to have a reflection in the eye and was rendering shots for Photoshop work to place the figure in the eye area to make a reflection effect.

When zooming in, I see THE REFLECTION is already there AND it's the character I wanted!

I had no idea EYES WERE REFLECTIVE. and apparently, characters created with facegen maintain this reflective nature of the eyes.

I never knew.

I don't think I've ever seen a render with something reflected in the eyes.

well since it uses photographs it has the image reflected in the eye from the photograpy.

you can actually add a map to any DAZ eye in the reflection channel to do this, an image seen by the character.

You can even get fancy and render one from their viewpoint!

If you use a HDRi in iray and have a reflective surface on the eye you also get this effect.
