Converting old content to Iray (Saros 7)

I have the Saros 7 and Holodeck set and am looking to convert it to Iray. Specifically converting all of the textures and turning on the lights in the hall and making things tgat glowed before glow in tge renders (making the roof light panels glow like they are on, etc...). I do just about all of my lighting with HDRI and/or Ghostlights right now. Just starting to learn about emissivity lights. I am still kind of new to Iray and am trying to figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

An easy way to start is to select all items then apply the Daz Uber Base Iray shader. That will provide a basic conversion.
The brightness/lumens for Iray lights has to be much higher than for 3Delight before you'll see them, so you'll need to adjust every single surface emission shader and turn the lumens up. How high will be up to you. You might have to preview every one as well. That's what I do. Yes, it's time consuming. Yes, it's a real pain in the butt, but only has to be done once ;). Make sure ya save the scene subset to the library when you're done, back it up, and you'll be golden :). I find this kind of thing fun and relaxing but I will concede that not everyone does. LOL. V3D has a script where you can change the brightness, color, etc of every surface emissive in the scene in one panel. It's extremely handy and if you plan on doing this to quite a few old sets, it might be worth the cost to you.

DS will apply the Iray uber base at render time - the onyl reason to convert is so that you can adjust settings from the auto-conversion. For light emitting surfaces, try applying the Emissive preset instead of the base preset.
Thanks guys, will try that next. Alot of the sets I am trying to convert are really old (Saros 7, Dark star, etc. All bought in 2008 & 2009).
