Request animated .gif gallery ?!!

carrara can render straight to an animated .gif file.

It would be so nice to put in gallery.

    I would like to have videos but I guess they moderators would not like having to watch them in order to censor them. I already see too many censor worthy still images so I can't imagine what they remove that I never see.

    I asked for it when they first started the gallery and was told the files are too big and use too much bandwidth.

    Isn't that a bit silly as an argument, as some people copy and paste back all of the already huge images in a thread, when quoting and then replying with their two-word comment!!!

    I think there's "bigger" issues to deal with in the forums software... I vote for animated GIFs. You (moderators) can always put a cap on the allowed file size.

    Btw, be sure to post some samples of the Carrera GIFs. Also some programs like GIF Construction Set apparently accept movie files so would the end result be about the same eg. six of one, half a dozen of the other? Ergo Carrara is not a prerequisite, to make GIFs.

    There's already free hosting for gifs at plenty of other sites and you can embed gifs here so I don't see the point.

    Oh wait, you're talking about showing up in the actual DAZ Gallery? That would be a huge problem with memory. Have you every tried scrolling through a page with a ton of large gifs? It would turn the Gallery into a mess.

    if i was busy browsing another gif gallery besides the skype gifs,
    would prolly mean less time in the forums >.<   potentially missing important flash sales notices
