Iray question - Spotlights(theatrical)

I created a spotlight prop in Blender and imported into Daz. Essentially it is a sphere with emission shader within a reflective cylinder. With a luminance set at fifty million, it casts a decent beam of light, however it's not a coherent enough beam. Too soft around the perimeter for a stage light. Any suggestions on how to focus the beam for a crisp circumference would be appreciated.

I doubt you'll ever get a sharp narrow beam with an emissive surface. The best way would be to create a DS spotlight, then set the geometry to a small size - like 5x5 or even less
I tried that, but it didn't work with Iray. Are there some settings to make DS spotlight show in an Iray render?
You need to make sure "Photometric" is set to Yes in the properties tab, then you adjust brightness via the Lumens setting
Use your prop for the physical appearance of the lamp, and position a D|S spotlight "inside" it. Make sure the emitter is positioned outside the geometry of the lamp, or else its light will be blocked. Adjust the lumens to increase brightness as TangoAlpha says.
For the most crisp falloff, use a distant light instead. But be aware a distant light does not obey the inverse square law (distance from light to subject doesn't matter), and its luminosity setting is based on the amount of light incident on the scene, and not total light output. The values you choose will be different than when using a spotlight.
You might also have some luck with an IES profile for a PAR lamp, and assigning that to your emissive surface. This will have the effect of creating a cone of light. But as the physical properties of the cone is in the definition of the IES profile, it is not very user-settable. Without a profile, emissive surfaces produce a diffuse light.
