How to turn of an Iray lamp / Iray tutorials

Hey there - I have a few IRay lighting questions here.
I normally light my scenes with the kind of lighting I used to back in the days of Poser (aka spots, points etc etc). But more often now I come across scenes that have no ‘conventional’ lighting - I'm making the assumption that are the iRay lighting sets. - which look really cool by the way.
Anyway, I'm finding myself in a position where I need to get rid of a few of the lights in the scene and being honest - I have no idea how to do it.
When I delete the lamp the light source goes away, but I have yet to find a way to control it. I am sure there is a really easy explimation but if somebody could point me in the direction of some good IRay tutorials so I can bring myself up to speed that would be awesome :)
Thanks
Lee

If the light is emissive (ie the actual mesh emits light), it's simply a matter of going to the Surfaces tab for that light, scroll down to the Emission Color value and set it to black (0 - 0 - 0).
Bingo that solves it. Thank you :)
If anyone does happen to have any decent tutorials they can point me to that would be awesome as I am sure there is a lot more about IRay I don;t know but probably should :)
For adjusting Iray lighting, especially when there are a lot of emissive surfaces, I would recommend https://www.daz3d.com/iray-light-manager-pro
