3delight keeps crashing
I guess I should open a ticket with tech support, but I was wondering if somebody around here had any ideas, here's the thing:
Not that long ago, I purchased a 1080 nvidia card and, of course, my Iray rendders are magnitudes faster than before, but now 3delight refuses to finish anything. The render starts, chugs along till 70%-80% completion and then the screen goes dark and Daz crashes without even leaving a message in the log file abot what the heck went wrong. The first few times I had a windows error about my graphics controller stopping and reinitiating, but now there's just... nothing.
In other words, 3delight starts just fine and then, when the end of the project is in sight, it suddenly stops working. I feel like my computer is learning my work habits. Not a good thing.

I've had similar problems on a box with a 1060. Mine was always a scene with shaders that use the volume brick in Shader Mixer. Others were able to render a simple test scene that isolated the problem for me, but they weren't running pascal cards. Like you, renders fine for a while, but eventually crashes before finishing (not always at the same point). No error message at all in the log, and either a driver stopped working (nvoglv64.dll) or BSoD.
Filed a ticket and went back and forth a bit with CS with no solution - was told it would be passed on to the devs. Haven't heard back since (quite a while ago), so I'm not holding my breath.
FWIW, Windows 7 Pro 64bit, 4.9.3.166 (release and beta), numerous nVidia drivers. Hope you file a ticket, too.

Thanks for the heads-up, Algovincian, I guess it's time to file a ticket and see if there's anything that can be done (though I am not that hopeful, to be honest).
