I pretty much only use Genesis 3 figures and was trying to decide between the two - Seraphim is a bit cheaper and by RawArt whom I'm always impressed by, but the Feathered Wings show the separate zones which is useful modifying textures on your own. Anyone have both with a preference, or feedback on either?
Possible I could have a use for a Genesis 2 figure, but not likely.

I prefer Malaik Wings over both for realism and morphs. It also has lots of other textures in the store. It's on 40% off sale now because Arki is a Featured Artist. And if you're a bonus buyer, there's 30% off RDNA items. I just put it in my cart and it was $6.29 (65% off). Here's a render I did using it with the armour you can get for it. Search "Angeloi" for more options.
I have all three sets. Malaik are HUGE and great for lots of things. Seraphim are great too, and have many textures. Feathered wings don't have many textures but they can be posed in amazing ways (so can Malaik, but I find Feathered easier.) Most wings will work on most characters. I've used Feathered Wings on V3 with no problem, though I just did a render with V4 Creature Wings on a G3F and they were fine too.
Here is a WIP I'm doing for a book cover. I went through many wings trying to find one that posed correctly and wasn't too bulky. (I have at least ten sets, maybe more.) When I found the controls in Feathered Wings and really started playing with them, they won hands down.

Here's a test render I did of Malaik, They're very impressive but challenging to pose. I bought some poses for them before RDNA closed that didn't come over, and have all the ones available for it here too.
Nice render Llynara!
Think I'm leaning towards feathered wings then - didn't even consider ease of posing. Not coming with many textures isn't, with all the material zones it doesn't look hard to customize.
Thanks
Still some tweaking to do, but it's getting there.
I love wings, I seem to collect them. I haven't tried reshading these yet, but I don't think it would be hard. They are well designed.
This is beautiful! Your way better at posing those wings then I am, I need posing lessons. I love the soft curve you got in this pose, I keep getting sharp angles. :) I also need to tweak the shaders on mine, in some light they get really hard highlights and look plastic..... Of course it could be that there are several different iray options in each color and I have no idea what the difference is between them so it's probably completely user error
to the OP, I do love these wings, I'm just really new to Daz and have no idea how to use them properly. :D
Everything was covered and there's nothing about hand placement in the "Acceptable ways of handling nudity post." I checked it before I put this up. I've seen WAY more risquee stuff than that on these forums.

The link needs to go to a filtered site - try devaint Art and set the mature content flag.
I don't think it's mature content. Everything is covered and they're embracing. I've seen racier pictures on the promos in the store.
If anyone wants to see the picture, PM me and I'll send you the link.
I managed to curl 3DU's wings all the way around the figure in front, and I'm still technically a DS noob ;). I don't think I've ever been able to curl wings like that ever with any other pair I've had. At least not without them looking really awful.

Sorry to bring this one back up, but through search it was the most relevant post I could find.
Does anyone know what the licensing terms are on each of these sets of wings. I'm sitting staring at each of them, wondering if I can export them for use in other places. I searched and searched for licenses by the different artists but to no avail. From what I understand the general rule of thumb is 'If there isn't a license then they don't want it used elsewhere', but I also can't figure out how to contact the artists to ask them directly.
Thanks in advance.

At the bottom of every forum page is a link to the license agreement that applies to all products (except a celebrity clone of Anna Marie Goddard for Victoria 3) sold at DAZ 3D.
Please read the EULA https://www.daz3d.com/eula
Basically you cannot redistribute any products from the Daz 3D store. What you are buying is a license to use the product.for your own personal use.
Thank you.
It really should be a notice on the product page, since the EULA does allow for external use provided you have bought the relevant license from the creator and Daz. I was just unsure as to whether that applied to artists who don't have an export license, but may be happy to allow use externally of their products as long as you bought it.
Ah well, back to crying over the complete lack of decent wings available :(
any images you create are yours to do withas you wish so you can do say posters, tshirts and such and sell them. You can also do a 3d print statue for yourself but your not allowed to sell it. 3D assests from this site are owned by the creators/daz and are not allowed to be resold or offered as free assets. Some creators offer a license to use some of there content to be used as indie game content. There are merchant resources that allow usage in your personal created content sold these have special terms and conditions from the vendors of this content you must follow. That's the basics isn't Chohole?
been there :) probably will again
