iRay Lighting tutorial in PDF format?

Are there any iRay lighting tutorials available in text formant? (I don't learn very well by watching video tutorials).

    ...I'm the same as I have short term memory issues as well and find having a PDF open to the section that discusses the task at hand on my notebook is so much more efficient as I don't have to keep replaying it or deal with headphone wires in the way of my hands.

    So far for me it's been all trial and error, not just with lighting, but skin and hair

    I get a couple minutes into a video and find myself completely lost. (Like how in this particular video he made a plane emissive).  

    PDF tutorials on skin and hair would be great too! I could print them out and work off of those as well.

    ...another major issue I have with Video tutorials is that many are just badly done.  No script, poor quality production values, sometimes too long, sometimes too short, or steps are skipped.

    There are some I thought about saving so I could play them when I have trouble getting to sleep.

    Yes .. tutorial videos as a sleep aid! Years ago I had a high school teacher who liked to lecture the class, I cannot tell you how many times I nodded off! LOL

    I find Video's good for insomnia especially as I have no speakers & my PC is in the family room & they don't want to listen to 3d chat -:)

    You might find information you want on Sickleyields Deviant Art Page - Some stuff is video but there is a lot written too & even with no speakers her videos are easy to follow if thats the only way left for me.
