How to stop slow Connect

On my Mac I use DIM and everything downloads fast and when I've tried Connect it will download a full product in seconds. But on my PC laptop, it takes forever! I sometimes click on several items to download via Connect and some items can take over an hour to download! And once it starts, there is no way to stop it, the items are cued up, and I can't stop the process and it prevents me from doing anything else. I click the X and nothing happens, it won't close and won't let me work on a scene while it's downloading. I don't have any virus protection except what come natively with Windows 8 and only use that computer for Daz. (I checked for viruses and issues, it says everything is fine.) Now it has already taken over 45 minutes to sloooowly download a product through Connect and I just want to stop it, but it won't let me. Just using Connect without anything else is taking up 99% of the CPU- why? All my other (Apple) devices download at fast speeds but this stupid Windows laptop (12GB RAM, INTEL i7) is like molasses. It is almost going on an hour now to download ONE product and I just want to stop it!

Select any products that are either currently downloading or in the download queue right click and select "Cancel Operation".
Edit: Another way to stop Daz Connect download(s) is to just close Daz Studio.
I didn't want to lose the scene I had already set up. I'll try right clicking, but why does it take soooooo long to download on a PC when it goes super fast on a Mac?
Are both Mac and PC Laptop using a wireless connection? If were me, I'd try a hardwired connection to your PC Laptop just to see if it's faster. Also, if you're downloading a shader product it could take a long time to download as those products tend to have large installers. I have my 2 main computers hardwired to my wireless router to avoid any wireless connection issues.
