I had sent a bug report on this but it seem the DaZ gallery will not allow me to upload pictures to it. I keep getting this error messgae saying" I am not allowed to upload this file type." which I don;t get, its a Jpeg. 1920x1080 @ 243 kb so what is the file type allowed? I tried to 3 different browsers and I keep getting this same error. and no other web site gallery I upload to give me this error. I try to a get a capture of the error but its a roll over on the gallery thumb nail upload. and won;t captures.
I want ask if anyone else is having this same issue with the daz gallery and the type file your uploading. or maybe its Daz just blocked me from uploading pictures to its gallery?
this is the image I had tried for 2 days to upload, to daz gallery please tell me what file types I am allowed if I am not allowed a .jpg
Heavens Gate Gallery#..... like I said it Is a Jpeg render & No other websites galleries give me this error. .. it sucks because it forces me to upload my pictures else where, any sugestions I really don't expect a reply back from support on this issue .

Sometimes it can be because of the way your paint prog spells upper case of lower case, jpeg or jpg
Really wow I didn't know that. because it just started happening this weekend,.and I did try PNG and gif as well for formats. I have been using photoshop. CS5 to reduce the wieght size of my pictures from 2 or 3 megs to 200 kb oe less before i try to upload them I wonder maybe if that has anything to do with it. . should I just upload them Raw file size then?
I would, I don't bother reducing the kb size on mine, the gallery limit is fairly generous. II admit mine are not normally above 2 meg, so I am actually not certain what the top level is.
Okay , Cool thanks Chohole that is what I'll do from now on. its a old habit for quicker uploads & plus I was reducing size as a convenience for those people on slow or metered internet. but raw size it is
though I wonder how people that have to do some post work to their renders handle this issue
Thanks for the advice Chohole
I just want someone to know that I am still getting " you are not allowed to upload this file type" error when I try to upload to the gallery , and I am using native Daz Jpg file from the render no post work or anything. only 1.5 megs large and i still get that error. any ideas?
I am also having issues with the gallery. There seems to be no share to facebook button anymore in edge, chrome or firefox even though I don't have adblocker enabled. This was only happening in chrome. When I installed firefox I used to see the share button but it only uploads a generic image which I posted in a forum thread March 12th. Since then, the FB share button has dissapeared all together.
Thats it Daz 's gallery hates me I can't even upload untouched renders in Jpg format , which forces me to upload to other galleries on other just to show you my daz products i bought.. Just lovely!
I'm with you Ivy, really mad right now. Put in a ticket and no answer
I feel ya Allienkatblue. Bad business fer sure , I'm kinda of beginning to believe I am blocked from the galleries. i tried again tonight to upload a render, still a no go I keep getting this message "I am not allowed to upload this file type".. when its a straight up daz .jpg render . Its to frustrating to keep trying and keep getting that message. and like you no one replied back to my ticket either so its like beating a dead horse. I'm just gonna forget it Luckily I still have options for posting my art work that don't include daz's temperamental gallery Bot.
Did you at least get the auto reply that they received your ticket? If not, maybe it didn't actually get to Daz.
Hi Barbuilt
yes I have a ticket# made on 3/7 and yes CS has replied back to me stating that they are aware of the it and have been looking into it. But that was a while ago. so there would be no sense for me to keep beating them up with my complaints of the gallery issue with support tickets , because i am sure they are well aware of it by now., But if other people want to report their issue getting this message please do. I started this thread to see if anyone had a work around.
Chohole had stated that the gallery had issues with how it read upper case of lower case, jpeg or jpg formats if i was using paint. . I don't use MS paint or gimp, I use photoshop the industry standard photo editing software. so if the gallery does no accept my images created by photoshop or the raw unedited .jpg file of my daz render then there is nothing more i can do then keep posting reminders in this thread of the continuing error message i keep getting & my frustration with it.
I tried again today to upload a native Daz .jpg render(no post work, and i am still getting that same error message? any idea how long its gonna be before they get this straighten out?
'Server responded with 0:.' is the message I am getting and upload fails.
I consistently have this problem with Internet Explorer (both 10 and 11), so I don't expect to be solved. Problem disappears when I use Chrome.
I never use IE , Ive been ising Firefox and Chrome . I even tried it with opera to see if it would work . I keep getting this error message. " Your Not allowed to upload this file type" which just happens again not 5 minutes ago ,I'm of firefox and the render is just a native one. i give up you guys win..
The Gallery still won't let me upload anything.. any idea how much longer this is going to take to fix its or do you guys have me blocked ?
HAve you got it touch with Daz, There is nothing that the forum can do to help you. You will need to either file a Support ticket or get in touch with DAZ_ann0314 (although she is Gallery Moderation rather than Tech, but may be able to help)
Hi Chohole
Yes I have opened support tickit(s). last night I could not even upload a picture to the forum in the "show us your iray render thread" let alone the gallery. its very furstrating because these are just raw renders so there is nothing more i can do on my end. I will contact Ann maybe she can push tech along seeing why this is happening.
