edited January 2013 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hi every expert I just have a problem
please help me.

There have two object that i draw
the first one is a object what the coordinate system is in the object's center
that we can adjust the position and rotation that we want the object do easily.

But what if the coordinate system is slanting and in the position that is not in the center of a object.
How can i move that to the center of the object by the function that Daz Studio including?

Thanks for you everybody!

you can change center of the obj root by joint editor tool.

open "Tool Setting" tab,(top menu>windows(pane)>tool setting

top of the tool setting tab, change "Active tool" to joint editor.
(triangle pull down , select joint editor)

when you select the obj, in scene tab, or 3d view,
you can see Cnter point, as Green three axis arrow.

there are slider to locate the Center point (green Arrow in 3d view)
    in Tool setting pane.

(or move Green Three Arrow, manually, in 3d view)

if you hope to fix the change., r-click "tool setting tab"
    Memorize>memorize selected node rigging.

(It fix the change of Center point, and set the position as new center of the object.
after that you can save it as figure or prop too
or just save it as scene, or scene subset,,)

    =============================
if you need not change center point of the obj,
and just hope to rotation, set center as pivot point,

quick way is "make Null" from Top menu>Create.
set the null as parent of the object.

and one more,, after change object center point,
you may hope it rotate by object axis (rocal)

keep open "tool setting tab" then change tool,
Universal Tool, select "Use object (or Local) codinate"

Usually it can manipulate (rotation ) obj by local axis.
there are some setting option, check them please.(I do not memorize all):P

(you may need to check gimbal rock,, it is difficult to understand clear for me)
