How can I add a grid guide to my renders

Hi, can someone help me with this

1- There is a way to add the grid that can be seen on the viewport to the final render ?

In other thread it says that I can add a texture to the floor but I'm not sure how to exactly do that and I need the grid to have the exact dimension of the grid in daz where one square on the floor is 1m x 1m

2- How can I add a vertical grid, like a wall grid ?

I saw in a tutorial a way to do this or something similar to this but I cant find that tutorial. I use daz studio as a reference for drawning and I need the grids to put the characters and objects in a correct perspective

Thanks

The simplest way would be to create two plane primitives, orienting one vertically, and the other horizontally. When creating the planes, a dialogue box will pop up where you can specify the dimensions. At that point, yoy must decide how much area you wish the grid to cover. I am not certain of the actual dimensions of the grid floor in the viewport, although I do believe that it has edges. Whatever you choose, assuming you want your grids to be in metres, just ensure that you stick to whole number multiples multiples. For example, a 10 m. x 10 m. plane might serve your purposes. All new planes will be created by default horizontally. to create a vertical one, just rotate the plane 90 degrees on the X-axis.

Once you have created your planes, the next step will be to create a grid texture that you can apply. This step will require the use of an image editing program like Photoshop or similar. In your image editing program simply open a new document with square dimensions (assuming that is what you have used in your planes). The actual dimensions that you use in the image editor are not critical, as long as the dimensions are large enough to produce an image of sufficient resolution to avoid pixelization of your gridlines when applied to your planes. Now you simply create a grid on your image running from edge to edge that corresponds to the number of divisions of your plane. For example, if your plane is 10 m. x 10 m., then you want a grid on your image that divides it into a 10 x 10 pattern. You'll need to make the weight of the gridlines sufficiently heavy that they will stand out when applied to your plane, and the grid should be on a separate layer (at least temporarily). The background layer of your image should be transparent, so only the grid will appear when applied to the plane. Once done, save the image, then apply it to the opacity channel with your plane selected in DAZ Studio. If all goes well, that should give you your grid that can appear in your renders.

For the vertical grid, be mindful of the fact that placement of your grid will affect how accurately it will reflect the height of objects due to perspective. For example, if you place the plane behind an object, perspective will make it seem smaller in relation to that object in a render as opposed to what it actually is. The farther away from your object it is, the more this this effect will occur.

Having said all that, there are actually some products available, both free and for purchase, that may serve your needs as is.
