daz default shader for transparency?

i'm a lil confused with eye moisture and cornea.

i can't see g3f's iris through the eyemoisture and / or cornea
i'm using the daz default shader and dunno what to do?

thanks smiley

I use the eye cornea bulge morph. I put the Iray water thin shader on the eye moisture and use the thin glass on the iris and cornea.

    thanks.  eyes are confusing, lol

the iray opacity doesn't come over to carrara. is why i'm using the daz default shader.
sliding the opacity slider between 0 and 100 and so far neither lets the iris peak through.

there's eye socket, sclera, cornea, pupil, eyemoisture, the bit in the inner eye corner
    is cornea a legacy thing?

was up half the night trying to make for her a 2nd skin bikini. nostalgia for the purple bikini smiley
i've done 2nd skins for v4 using wings3d, but my old school methods don't seem to be working anymore broken heart

1am i;m still fighting with the cornea

why does pupil use texture map?  cant be plain black diffuse?

    thanks smiley

Eye moisture and cornea should not have any maps. You probably could use a basic black map for pupil, but using the same texture your iris does ensures a perfect match (some textures might overlap the iris and pupil.) Just to be sure, are you seeing the opaque cornea in the render? In the view window some shaders will make the cornea look opaque until you actually render. I use the same shader settings on moisture and cornea. I crank eye bulge to like 1.5. You could also try the thin walled setting if you are still having trouble.

    Tysmiley

setting the opacity color to black, thought it might simulate a pure black alpha mask
does it need an all black jpg in the channel?

the eyelashes work as expected in opacity with the eyelash alpha texture.

    dazed and confuzed

also noticed some shaders have an opacity on/off green button.  the cornea with dazdefault shader doesn't have the button.
