n00b stuck - Combining geograft wounds with anatomical elements

Hi all

Trying to teach myself DAZ after giving up learning Poser about ten years ago. Generally loving it, and the insanely good results that can be had very quickly, the last time I did this I was rendering on a Pentium 4 and it took forever!

Anyway. I'm doing some fun dark fantasy renders, using the DAZ 3D IRAY wounds kit and a third party G3F gens set. Now, I can get the wounds etc to work as I want, and I can get the gens to work as I want, but not together. Whenever I combine the two, the gens area becomes monochrome and looks wrong. I'm a total beginner and cannot work out what's going wrong and how to fix this.
